How much time do we have to create each look?
We have 15-30 minutes to achieve a look back stage. The outcome varies based on the your level skill level:

1. Stylists that are in the process of learning and increasing their speed.

2. Stylists that are assisting others in developing their skills.

3. Veteran Stylists where you can learn so much just from observing.

What does a day at NYFW look like?
A day at New York Fashion Week for a hairstylist is typically fast-paced and highly demanding. It often starts early with a team meeting to review the day’s schedule and the specific hairstyles for each show. In the hours leading up to a show, hairstylists work backstage creating and perfecting hair looks on models according to the designers’ visions. This involves quick and precise work under tight time constraints. You will be challenged with your skillset or grow in area you would like to excel in. You choose, our support team are here to help you grow and learn. Throughout the day, there’s a constant cycle of prepping, styling, and touching up models’ hair, sometimes for multiple shows. The day usually ends late, with the team reflecting on the day’s work and preparing for the next round of shows.
